At 1200 PM MDT (1800 UTC), the center of Tropical Storm Lidia was only about 25 miles (40k) from Cabo San Lucas. With current location near latitude 22.5 North, and longitude 110.0 West.
The center is expected to pass near, or over the southern tip of BCS ie: Cabo, in the next few hours, moving in a north –northwest directions at 9 mph (15 km/h.
Maximum sustained winds have increased to near 65 mph (105 km/h) with some higher gusts. Strengthening may occur in the next few hours. And hurricane conditions are possible within the hurricane watch area during the next several hours
Weakening is expected tonight through Friday night as the center moves over the Baja California peninsula.
The total predicted rainfall is 8 to 12 inches. These rains have the potential to cause life-threatening flash floods and mudslides.
